Spring, come here!

I feel spring in the air, days are more sunny and nice. In the weather forecast, I saw, that all this week is going to be hot. Maybe that is the time to take a bike from a garage and trip in the forest, or even farther than it. The more sport the better.

My condition is better and better each one day. When I started to going to the gym I feel that I can make more, I feel stronger.
After 3 weeks with exercises, I increased load from 5 to even 20 kg. I have also few training sets which I can make at home. I feel the power but there are no results which I expected - no losing weight and centimeters in waist or stomach. I know, that muscles are also weigh something and that I can even gain weight when I’m making exercises.
But I’m just a human, I have to see the weight loss because it’s the only one motivation which I have. The most of my trousers are too big (even these which I used before I got pregnant), they are hanging on my bottom like on a hanger, the most of my rings again fits to my fingers (some of them are even too big), the blouse, which my husband bought me some time ago too small (he confused the sizes) is perfect for me now. It’s heart-warming, otherwise, it would be too hard for me to find any motivation to workout.
Sometimes I feel that the most I achieved the most I require for myself. And even if I give myself best I’m disappointed when I see no results.
And when I go there to make exercises there is a lot of slim, beautiful girls, which look like from the main page of newspapers for women… It doesn’t help :( When compare myself with them I look like a brawn… even if I look ok now. So now you can imagine the scale. I think I haven’t seen there very often girls with a little fat, and no those abdominis.
I think the biggest problem, which have are stomach muscles, they shrank a little bit after birth, but not enough to go on the beach without a shame.
And also for 2 weeks, I couldn’t even go to the gym, because I’m sick again. I have no power for anything. I still have a strong cough, but I try to go outside, cause it’s a pity to not to use this sunny day and fresh wind.

Cats also felt a spring and they catch every ray of light. They spend all days on the loggia :)

For me working outside is also a pleasure. And of course with cats company, it’s easier to work ;)

My DIY for September-October charity auction slowed down. I still make a crochet skirt (for myself) - it takes so much time. It’s my first time to make so huge project.
So from the last note, I made only a crochet pencil case (which was tested by the best tester - Purka) ;)

I’m going to make some handmade soaps next month, I haven't seen which products I’ll need, but I still have a time. I’ll order everything after 10th of April.
Additionally I made 20 more shrinky dinks pendants for March unexpected charity auction. Girls from Koteria told me, that they need some money to make renovation of Koteria medical centre, so I decided to help them :)

I was thinking about making just a few pendants, but when I started drawing it was hard to stop! If you want to support Koteria, you can buy something HERE.
A lot of people are selling nice items, so there is a large selection of everything.
Out little star has almost 1,5 year, so we decided to make her a busy board.

We bought plywood, locks, latches, circles and 3 boxes in the home-improvement store. We also made a section with buttons, potentiometers, and switches which are controlling leds. Maja has a fun with this. For now, she likes boxes and switches the most.
Here you have a movie how does it look like :) it was just 3 evenings of making (with buying things which we forgot about, or if the drill broke etc).

My name day was nice this year despite my illness. My husband bought me 2 games (board and card one) and we were playing to the midnight :)

And a few days earlier I was making shopping with my mom and I got 2 pairs of jeans from her. When we were looking for a ‘this ideal’ trousers we saw genius trousers with a lot of colorful sew-on badges. I would maybe buy it, but on each one trousers, there was at least one badge which I didn’t like. So we bought classic jeans and I decided to renew some of my old trousers. I bought a bag of sew-on badges in haberdashery and I made ‘this ideal’ trousers myself :)
Ok, I know that it probably look strange for you, but I really like it!

And you know what? I don’t care if someone doesn’t like it. I heard laugh a lot of time, when someone saw me in cat hat etc because it’s “the suit is adequate for the child”, but I always ignore it and even don’t bother it.
Maybe I’m not comfortable in every company because I have my opinion on each subject... So probably I broke contact with another 2 people…
One concerns a person, which was notoriously offended my family and I couldn’t dissuade him it in any way.
And the second one is more interested species - my friend, which suddenly refused me to come for name day tea (you know - tea or coffee, some cake, maybe walking somewhere with our daughters). As an excuse she told, that she’s afraid of my HEALTHY cats; she’s pregnant and she’s sure that they’ll infect her by a toxoplasmosis. Well… I don’t have time to change her medieval views, I tried once without any effect, so I gave up. I didn’t want end this relationship, but everything shows that it is the end.
Actually - in both cases, I should write, that they broke a contact with me. Both of them I wrote what do I think about their behavior and they are silent since that.
And I’m not sure if I should feel sorry about this or if I should be happy, because the sooner the better...

Short Cracow trip

This trip was quick, but I rest mentally. We made a long walks and we visited cat cafe - this all gave mi so much positive power!

We showed our Taiwanese friend main interesting touristic places in Cracow. He liked the most visiting Wawel and legend about Wawel dragon. He also loved men in folk costumes staying in Florian Gate and plying on the accordion some old polish songs.

Obviously, we showed him also a Jewish district, there we ate the best ice creams in the whole city (Good Lord) and we went to a Józef Street - there are a lot of nice shops with unique items (the most of them are handmade).

I wouldn’t be myself if wouldn’t buy any cat ;) I bought handmade pendant (in Jewish district) and 2 wonderful toys in Bukowski Gallery :)

Every time when I’m buying plush toys I’m telling that it’s for Maja. And next, I realize, that buying for Maja is just an excuse to buying cute toys for myself ;)
The second day we went to Zakrzówek lake - we wanted to show him some nature place. The weather was nice this day, so there was a lot of people up. We made wonderful pictures.
I think there must be charming in summer… :)

Visiting the cat cafe was the best decision! Surely I’ll return there one day. All cats are so adorable!

What I like the most - this cafe has some rules and here is always someone who watch over it. When we were there we saw some mums with little kids, and they didn’t care what kids are doing this time. Kids are very positive, they love pets so much, but they’re not delicate. And that’s why it is so important to take care of cats in a place like this.
What about cats - I haven’t seen them all, because some of them were in the place, where is no entry for guests, but few cats were all the time somewhere between the tables and sitting on the windowsills.

I liked the oldest cat the most - Kukuś. When I sat on the sofa he immediately jumped on my laps and slept until we left cat cafe. All this time he purred lightly.

Kukuś is sickly thin, but he has beautiful shiny fur and he is quite sociable. If I wouldn’t have 3 cats I would probably think about adopting him. This cafe isn’t good place for him, I think he would prefer more peaceful place. But still living in the cafe is better than the animal shelter (which from he came here).

Actually I like this idea to take cats to the cafe and let people adopt them if they fall in love with some of them. It’s perfect solution if you want to get know the cat before you take him.

If I’m not wrong it’s the same idea in Warsaw. I still haven’t been there. I have to visit Warsaw cat cafe too :)

What about traveling with Tony - except Cracow we made some walks in Warsaw. We were meeting with him mostly in the evening and I think we showed him almost all interesting places. He was satisfied, even if we’re not perfect guides. But we know something about our city, so we could tell him some curiosities.

We also made him ‘farewal box’ - we bought some traditional polish products - beetroot with horseradish, oscypek (sheep cheese), Wedel chocolate, Milanówek fudge, gingerbread made in Toruń and some more sweets which we like.
He also promised, that if we come to Taiwan one day, he’ll show us Taipei and whole island and some cat places ;) I can’t wait to go there :)

Now we have lazy weekend. We spend a time on the playground with Maja, she likes to go there.

And I also have some time for crocheting - still for myself. II finished my gloves and I started making a skirt.

I’m in a standstill with the items for the charity auction, cause I’m not sure if I didn’t make too much of them. And I would like to make also some friendship bracelet for sale. I’m still waiting for a delivery of resin, then I’ll be able to finish up my shrinky dinks pendants.
And I’m living just from one day to another waiting for another adventure.
Coding, Maja, some time for myself at the evening - movie, DIY, playing with cats, book… and also counting for a next trip ;)

I felt really good after I returned to the gym. I’m there 3 times per week and I’m still adding new exercises. The coach is making for me some exercises sets to make my stomach and legs muscles stronger. I see the difference after first 2 weeks - I have a higher load than at the beginning, the day after I go to a gym I don’t feel any discomfort, I can make more kilometers than before.
On Monday I’m going to start preparation for hiking, I was talking about going on the top of Poland - Rysy with my coach. He told, that it’s possible and promised to help me with training when I’ll decide that I’m going there. It’s the best to start training a half year before I’m planning to go. I’m not planning it yet, maybe next year we’ll make it. But my dream is real! I know, that one day I’ll reach it.
I have only one life and when I realized how fragile t is I promised myself to make all my dreams come true.

I help cats, I learn new skills, I made a tattoo, I want to reach mountains, travel the world, try new flavors; I want to laugh very loud and be happy all the time.
Each one day makes me closer to fulfill my dreams, which are at my fingertips.

Creatively with a holiday mood

It’s such a beautiful weather, it favors to think about trips. I have holidays in my head and I fell adventure in my heart!

Our preliminary March plans have changed. We won’t have USA trip, but maybe we’ll think about going somewhere in second half of the year. For now my husband is flying to San Diego in April, but fortunately it’s just few days.
I envy him, because I love traveling and I would like to fly and go wherever I can. The world is mine; I feel that I can do everything I want.
Yes, sometimes I’m afraid of new, but I also know, that when I overcome a fear I never regret. My life is sad, miserable and incomplete without traveling. It’s strange, but when I’m not traveling at the moment I’m thinking and planning another one trip. And next I count days to go.
I want Maja be older, I can’t wait for this moment,, when she’ll also enjoy with visiting new places. For now she doesn’t care where she is ;)

I booked a room for trip with my mum. We decided to go to Bieszczady Mountains for a week. We’re departing at the beginning of August.
I have been in Bieszczady some time ago (when I was a kid), but truly I don’t remember a lot. I have only some flashes in my memory.
I didn’t like mountains some time ago, I started to like it just maybe 4 years ago. When I was a kid I had a condition and I didn’t like long walking.
And now I can appreciate mountains - the charming view is worth to get tired. Bieszczady are extensively terrains, there is a lot of routes to go (they are quite long)... I can’t wait to go :)

And this weekend we’re going to Cracow. It’s spontaneous trip, actually we’re going there to show our Asian friend a piece of Poland. In Adam’s office there is a person from Taiwan - he has a business trip, but showed a desire to explore - he didn’t have to repeat us twice ;)
So we’re making express trip and finally we’ll be able to visit a cat cafe! I dreamed about going there, but there was no occasion to go to Cracow.
What’s funny - we also have a cat cafe in Warsaw, and we still didn’t have enough time to visit it. But I think it’s typical - when you have something close to home you just postpone it afterwards.

Now when my tattoo finally healed I could return to gym. I have workouts every other day, but I hope that I’ll be exercising every day. I can’t make it now, cause it would be to hard for my heart. I also would like to return to swimming, I love it :)

I wanted also to ‘try myself’ and make some detox, so I started to using vegan diet for a week. I have to admit, that it was hard to me. I like meat, I love dairy products (I eat 1-2 yoghurts each one day) and I couldn’t live without a honey!
This one week I ate only vegan and also healthy food (cause vegan isn’t always healthy). Vegetables digest very fast, my body isn’t used to to, so I was hungry all the time.
This week I lost 1 kg (but it was one of the hardest kilograms of my resolution to get to 65 kg) and also it was first time when I was starving for a year.
Of course it was tasty food, so some of the recipes I’m leaving for future and I still follow some plant based blogs (cause there are sometimes some nice recipes for lunches). I don’t condemn vegans, because of their choice, I also don’t think that they’re strange (like most people do). This diet is not for me, just it ;)

On my instagram account I shared photos of our vegan meas. If you’re interested I can send you some recipes ;)

I’ll switch to another topic - my art spirit is in very good condition now.
Almost everyday I have a time for DIY.
I learned about really nice technique of making charming pendants - shrinky dinks - it’s drawing on the shrinky plastic.
I want to cover my pendants with a varnish/resin to make it stronger. But you can also use it without cover - just after thermal treatment.
I won’t share with you one tutorial, because there is no ‘one the best’ - there is a lot of “how to” on youtube, you have to just type ‘shrinky dinks’ and you’ll find it. I watched few movies and I knew everything what I had to start making.
I also made one ring with shrinky plastic. If you decide for this you should read this: CLICK :) My pendants of course will be available on the Koteria charity auction.

I also returned to crocheting. It took me long to start again, but I just saw these floral gloves and I have to make it! I’ll show you how it came out when I finish. I made a gloves once, but it was too short and too much openwork - it didn’t warm me in cold days.
So now I’m making less openwork no-fingers gloves - for the early spring :)

My little girl learn new skills each one day and she is more and more cunning. She can walk slowly and she started to try to go upstairs. And she’s watching carefully how big cats can go and she’s also trying to imitate them ;) She moves a boxes, which she uses to climb on to reach higher…
This holidays we’re going to buy her a balance bike - we would like to choose this wooden one, because it’s better quality. We also want to have regulated high, because we want Maja use it more than half a year ;)
She’s sociable and nice now. She has freak ideas and she likes crayons now. She can’t colour perfectly, she’s just scribbling something without any sense ;)

She also loves to pet and hug cats. Purka doesn’t like it, but there are some moments, when she doesn’t run away. Amaya always comes, when we have time for reading - Maja is listening a stories for a while and Amaya purrs loudly. These moments are calm, joyful and full of love. I feel more family than in more than one Christmas.
